I pickup trash in my neighborhood and have been using this particular model for many years. Because I have some arthritis in my hands I find the mechanism on the metal ones are too hard to squeeze.

This is my 2nd 2 pack. My 1st was the 34' EZ Reacher 2-Pack and i never could be happier with them. I purchased the ArcMate because the other brand i won't mention by name, broke picking up a piece of paper!!! These Reachers allow me to get canned goods from the highest and farthest to the back areas of my cabinets. If the pads can get around it, it will hold it and I can bring it down without climbing on a step ladder. And for the price of these REFURBS, they cannot be beat anywhere, at leas anywhere I could find. It doesn't take a lot of strength to squeeze the trigger either, so people with arthritis should find these to be a blessing. i am disabled and find it very difficult to bend down and it's not safe for me to climb ladders of any height so these REACHERS help me substantially every-single-day which is why I have 5 of them around my apartment. I will be needing 2 more to have one in every strategic place in my apartment as i walk with a cane so to have one of these near me cannot be understated. I tried many other brands before i landed on ArcMate and I never looked back. They're simply the best of the best. Having said that, there is one improvement some of the other crappy brands have I wish ArcMate would incorporate into these EZ Reachers, and that's magnets on the sides of the ends. I spilled a bowl of screws on the floor and had to pick them up almost one at a time. My El-Cheapo has magnets and i can swing it around and it will snag many many screws at one time, saving me a ton of time. Other than that, i will only purchase ArcMate Reachers again and they're the strongest, durable Reachers available. My home attendant now realizes why I have these things all over the place, they're an indispensable asset to me.

I have rural property and the Metal Disks last longer for grasping numerous items I have the misfortune to find. This is not my first set. They are better for picking up heavier and oddly shaped objects.

This is my second Outdoor EZ Reacher. It does not replace the first one. It allows me to have one in both vehicles so that "picking up" doesn't get postponed. I have health problems and this increases my personal safety in numerous ways.

These things can pick up a dime off of a sidewalk. Great for getting into cactus and overall great for cleaning, reaching and grabbing

I bought my stick several years back. Wore out the cups. Bought two new sticks that had a free replacement cups. I contacted the company and sure enough they sent me two free cups. I appreciate that very much. I also ordered 3 more sets and paid for them. My wife has one, now I have too, the old one I keep in the truck. You will never believe how handy these things are until you get one.

Works great! I would like a 40 inch made like the 36 inch long.Heavy duty. Great product.
